For the whole month, we had been thinking where to celebrate NaNa's birthday. Finally NaNa himself, suggested going Swenson. The nearest was at WhiteSand Shopping Centre, instead we went for the Parkway Parade. Planning to share the earthquake after the main course, but in the end, all of us were too full to consider desserts, & not forgetting we had our home-made birthday cake too.

All these years, i used to get my kids' birthday cakes from the confectionery shop. 可是幸运的认识了Aunty Irene, my inspiration inspired me to bake a cake myself. This is the MOST BEAUTIFUL CAKE I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE, . 因为这可是我亲手做的，当然少不了师傅的指导。Without guidance from Aunty Irene, i will not be able to produce such a wonderful cake. 我儿子终于吃到了妈妈亲手为他做的生日蛋糕，他今年的生日肯定比往年开心。我希望以后每年都能为每个家里人和好朋友做生日蛋糕，让他们也和我一样开心 。

My Home-Grown Chillies 我的小辣椒

Last Sunday, when i came home, my son ran to the door and said,, Mummy, dun come in first, put on your slippers. I was so scared, thinking what had happen. He brought me to the chilli plant and showed me... My chilli plants finally 'give birth' to 4 chillies...2 green on 1 plant, 1 red and 1 green on the other. We were so happy, as we had been waiting for this moment for about a year le. My son, so cute, he said better talk softly as not to let the neighbours heard or they might pluck our chillies away, he even ask me, are we going to pluck the chillies and EAT them or leave it on the plants, but it will rot one day.

WOW!..my buns are ready. These 3 has the most unique pattern, esp the one in the rear front. Its the latest creative exhibit of Aunty Irene （师傅最新的创作）and she said so far i am the only one who has this pattern... 羡慕吗！




The 2 round buns has cheese in it, follow by the hotdog bun and the one in front is my real real creative. It was an ugly creative of mine but after baked it looks so so different。。。真的是 。。。‘包熟十八变’

Last Saturday, i reached Aunty Irene's house at 10+, wanting to make sweet buns and pure chocolate cake. Following was new member, Mabel and her godsis who came around 11, to make mooncakes. Fenying was also there after her Vitagen Roadshow at Chai Chee Blk 36. She made many guesses who we are but none was right. She only remember me who supported her at the Vitagen Roadshow at Pasir Ris Elias, when i mentioned Thomas. Of course we had photograph session with many laughters. Nicole joined us late afternoon also to make mooncakes. I stayed till around 7.30pm, only managed to get my sweet buns done. But never mind, my time spent there was worth as i had gained 2 'revisions' on making mooncakes and now i had more confidence.

Today my husband called me saying he will be joining me for lunch. So i suggest going to Kwang Xiang Thye, at Lor 27 Geylang, which is quite near to my office. Though its not a very big place, but they sell alot of things. As i was not prepared, so i dont know what to buy..but I saw this Hong Zao..hahaha... I GRAB! Because last Saturday after tasting the 红糟肉at Aunty Irene's house, i DREAMT of it every nite.. VERY DELICIOUS!!! I oso ask for 红酒, one aunty recommend me 酒粮 to add into my 红糟鸡 and the steamed fish sauce is for my fish..very nice too!!!

Today is my first experience of making mooncakes,,of course with help & guidance from my Sifu, Aunty Irene. Its really very challenging. bcos to me, its not easy to make mooncakes...but with Aunty Irene's guide, I MAKE IT!! Its also fun with Dorene and Sharon (SIS) around. Well, its really a great day and good experience for me. Thanks Aunty Irene, u make my dream come true! 谢谢您师傅...but now the mooncakes ...'can see cannot eat' leh!!! got to wait till Tuesday.. Never mind just enjoy looking at it first lor!
