A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales.
The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very small.
The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale.
Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human; it was physically impossible.
The little girl said, "When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah".
The teacher asked, "What if Jonah went to hell?"
The little girl replied, "Then you ask him ".

A Kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of children while they were drawing. She would occasionally walk around to see each child's work.
As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, she asked what the drawing was.
The girl replied, "I'm drawing God."
The teacher paused and said, "But no one knows what God looks like."
Without missing a beat, or looking up from her drawing, the girl replied, "They will in a minute."

A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year olds. After explaining the commandment to "honor" thy Father and thy Mother, she asked, "Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?"
Without missing a beat one little boy (the oldest of a family) answered, "Thou shall not kill."

One day a little girl was sitting and watching her mother do the dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly noticed that her mother had several strands of white hair sticking out in contrast on her brunette head.
She looked at her mother and inquisitively asked, "Why are some of your hairs white, Mom?"
Her mother replied, "Well, every time that you do something wrong and make me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white."
The little girl thought about this revelation for a while and then said, "Momma, how come ALL of grandma's hairs are white?"

The children had all been photographed, and the teacher was trying to persuade them each to buy a copy of the group picture.
"Just think how nice it will be to look at it when you are all grown up and say, 'There's Jennifer, she's a lawyer,' or 'That's Michael, he's a doctor.'
A small voice at the back of the room rang out, "And there's the teacher, she's dead."

A teacher was giving a lesson on the circulation of the blood. Trying to make the matter clearer, she said, "Now, class, if I stood on my head, the blood, as you know, would run into it, and I would turn red in the face."
"Yes," the class said.
"Then why is it that while I am standing upright in the ordinary position the blood doesn't run into my feet?"
A little fellow shouted,
"Cause your feet ain't empty."

The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic elementary school for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note, and posted on the apple tray:
"Take only ONE. God is watching."
Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies.
A child had written a note, "Take all you want. God is watching the apples.

31st March 2008 is also our last day at our old office. We gathered together and had a mini farewell party. I was assigned to get the food, so i asked help from Aunty Irene. The yummy curry chicken and colourful bee-hoon were prepared by her and i bought another 2 french loaves to go with the curry. Unexpectedly the 2 big french loaves were finished in less than a few minutes. My colleagues enjoyed the curry chicken very much. My boss asked whether the food are prepared by me. Hahaha...i where got time in the morning to prepare so delicious food. My boss & another of my colleague tune in to FM 97.2 too, so they had heard of Aunty Irene, who prepare food for some famous artistes and DJs. My office radio is permanent at FM97.2 too, so they know I am a fan of 九七二 and my colleague told my boss i am one of Aunty Irene's 徒弟, and also thats where i learn all by my baking from.

师傅，如果没有你，我就不能完成我的任务了，谢谢您。

"名以食为天" A Day for FOOD - 31st March 2008

Orange Mousse Cake, 柳橙慕思蛋糕是师傅的新作品。师傅经过了一番的 research，终于发明了这个既好看，味道一级棒的柳橙慕思蛋糕！蛋糕大功告成后，师傅还为蛋糕担心了一天一夜，怕它不能好好的凝结，真的辛苦她了。师傅，您看到了吗，蛋糕很美而且还稳如泰山呢！谢谢您。




本来我们是想到 Simpang Bedok 去吃火锅，可能是星期一的关系，店刚好休息，我们只好到了另一间餐馆。我们点了一道是三巴香港面，另一道是XO炒饭。味道都很不错。

这几道是孩子们的最爱，西餐咯! Chicken Chop and Mushroom Soup 是 NaNa 点的. Italian Pasta 是 Sherell 心目中的佳肴。另一道 Cheese Fries 是让大家的一起分享的。

三杯都很可爱的饮料，而且名字也很特别，妃西柠檬立宾娜，麦草椰子青和密禄恐龙。你们可以猜猜那一杯是谁的。。。嘻嘻嘻

Snowy Optima Sponge Cake - 27March 2008

This Optima Sponge Cake is really a 3S...Soft, Spongy and Snowy. My OSC turns out successful, i brought to office and shared with my colleagues. They were very surprised, my boss keep saying...You nowadays love to bake hor...and you so clever in cooking and baking now..paiseh lor! All these owe to Shifu who gave me the recipe and brief me thru phone, & the very night i tried it out. Thanks alot Shifu.

七彩热潮 - Colourful Day

最近到处都掀起一股缤纷彩虹的热潮，Rainbow Mashmallow Pudding 啦，彩虹菜燕啦，还有多颜多色的面包蛋糕啦，colourful macaroon 等等。我也不约而同的参加了一份，来了以下的七彩九层糕和缤纷菜燕，再加上一道名副其实的咖哩鸡。当然也没忘了谢谢师傅的食谱。

好大个的七彩九层糕，颜色相当的均匀也配合得天衣无缝，真的看在眼里，陶醉在心里。

七彩的彩虹九层糕，颜色漂亮到看了都不舍得吃，怎么办呢？虽然是这么说啦，可是还是全部都吃进肚子了。

七彩九层糕的这个另外造型是NaNa 的设计的作品哦！我就是从那个模糊的背景走出来的，才有现在这么光明的前途的。这就是饮水思源！

本来是准备要做个大大菜燕，可是最后一分钟，突然找不到那个模型，所以只好换成杯杯彩燕。就来一个‘七仙配牛朗’

This 爱心彩燕 was specially designed for my loved ones, to let them know i will always support them in whatever they do .

最近NaNa 不懂为什么时常要吃 'Curry Gantang', 咖哩马铃薯。周末我买好所有的材料，马铃薯要特别多，就煮了这道Gantang 特别多的咖哩鸡，让NaNa 吃个够本咯！他果然真的把所有的马铃薯吃光光，咖哩汁也‘liam' 完 leh ！

Puff Buns vs 小发糕2

非常容易做的迷你原味和班兰泡芙包

包装后的泡芙包还是一样可爱, hmm...像不像外面蛋糕店的包装哈？

哇，好松软，好好吃的 Puff Buns... 连少粘甜糕点的女儿都情不自禁

小发糕2也不赖，虽然不是发得很美，可是跟小发糕1比起来，味道也不会输咯！

星期三下班时，赶紧去超市把缺少的材料都‘搬’回家，然后一面弄晚餐一面做以上的两样糕点。Aunty Irene，Mini Puffs 真的很可爱也很好吃，谢谢您的食谱。

您知道吗？我女儿不是个很会欣赏甜糕点的人，可是对这MiniPuffs。。。哈哈哈，她进一粒出一粒哦。。。放进了包装后，她还是忍不住拿了一粒放进口里。

小发糕呢？是NaNa 帮我看火的。。。

他说：妈咪，小发糕不是很发leh，不过也是很可爱！

Cup Cakes & Pandan Cheese Cake

These cup cakes are 're-formed' from Aunty Irene's Pandan Cup Cakes to Strawberry Cup Cakes and Marble Cup Cakes. Some are even reduced to mini cup cakes and they are all so cute and sweet, 好可爱的多味杯杯蛋糕!

Pandan Cheese Cake was a new try. It turn out quite good, but i will try again to get a better result.

Our dinner on Monday nite...

This recipe was already posted at 厨房笔记 for some time, at last i got the time to try it out. I miss out the soda biscuits at the last minutes, so got to send my husband to get it from the shop. The taste of this soup was very different from the usual soup we used to boil. Nice! Thank you Aunty Irene for this recipe.

My kids like this 黑醋酱鸡, Black Vinegar Sauce Chicken very much. They finished up not only the chicken , but also the sauce, till the last drop & keep asking for more.
