My First Try of the 冰皮月饼 on Wednesday night, with the help of Nana. He was so excited when he saw me bringing out all the ingredients. He quickly put down what he was doing and went to wash his hands. Though result was not good but it was indeed a good try
Last Saturday, Nana's School Guzheng Troupe was invited to give a performance at Elias Community Centre on celebration of the MoonCake Festival. The 2 songs played were 小白船 和 採磨菇的小姑娘。We were present to give him our supports.

The mooncake looks nice, I tried yesterday too. Not bad very happy with the outcome.
I have not been to a Chinese orchestra concert before. My boys are all into 'raps' music and playing soccers. Fans of Manchester United.

Eileen, Thanks. Yes NaNa is a good boy and he is curious i seldom bake. i think becos of playing 古筝 thats why he has patience or maybe becos of patience then he can continue his 古筝. Their school got quite alot of awards, so they were alwaz invited to perform. I do feel proud of him..Not 'howlian' really!!

Wow, very nice snow skin moon cake. I was at Aunty Irene's house making moon cake too when you call her for instruction.
I will try out my moon cake this coming weekend. Hope will have satisfaction result.

Carol at first i know nothing abt 古筝, only saw it on DVD show. My son was P2 when his Chinese teacher 'invited' him to join her 古筝 troupe. i agree cos i know he can make it but most impt is he himself is also interested. I had a 古筝 bought 2 yrs ago for him to practice at home. i also tried on it, yes, it not easy!

Looks very nice shape of your snowskin mooncake.What is your filling? Now my daughter loves to eat snowskin mooncake since i learned from aunt Irene. Last time she really don't know how to appreciate it.

actually chinese music can calm a person temper, luckily your son learn "古筝" not drum. or else your house will go upside down...
